Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Hospital Policy
In an effort to protect our clients and staff as well as to comply with CDC guidelines of social distancing and avoiding groups over 10 people, we are restricting client access to our clinic beginning on Saturday, March 21.
We will conduct all appointments and prescription pick ups with curbside service. Please call our office at 540-463-7799 as you arrive and a staff member will meet you at your vehicle to pick up your pet for his or her appointment or deliver pre-ordered prescription medications.
For appointments, clients will remain outside in their vehicle. Our staff will call you to take your pet’s history, get approval for treatments, discuss discharge instructions, as well as take payment over the phone. Your pet will then be brought back to your vehicle at the end of his or her appointment. You may also drop your pet off for the day, as long as we have adequate kennel space. To help out clients during this difficult time, we will waive the day admission fee provided your pet is picked up by close of business the day they are dropped off.
If you are ill, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. If you are ill and your pet is sick, please call to discuss the best course of action with our team.
This is an ever-changing situation and we will update you on policy changes, if any, as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to keep our clients and staff safe while continuing to provide care for your pets and livestock during this public health crisis.
Blue Ridge Animal Clinic Team
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, therefore occasional appointment delay may occur. If we have worked you into the schedule, previously scheduled appointments will be seen first.
For your convenience, Day Admission (drop off) is available by appointment with an additional fee. Day Admission means you schedule to bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for the day. Usually, we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments. At admission, we ask that you allow time for our staff to check your pet in and learn more about what problems your pet may be having currently. After the exam, we will go over the findings either by phone or at the discharge of your pet.
For the safety of our patients, we require that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers upon arrival to the clinic.
Blue Ridge Animal Clinic requires full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, American Express, John Deere Financial, cash, and personal checks.
