COVID 19 Hospital Policy
As CDC and state guidance for COVID 19 have changed recently, we are updating our COVID hospital policy. As of Monday May 17, we will begin a offering client access on a limited basis as follows.
As you arrive, please park in our numbered curbside service parking spots. Please call our office at 540-463-7799 to let us know you have arrived. If your pet has an examination scheduled, you will be offered the option of entering with your pet or remaining in your vehicle for curbside service.
Clients who would like to come in for their pet’s exam will wait in their vehicle until their pet’s exam room is ready. Our lobby remains closed. A staff member will let you know when to come inside. At this time, we ask those who enter our facility wear a face covering. You and your pet will be escorted directly to an exam room. The check out process will also take place within the exam room.
Some services will continue using our curbside only policy to help prevent crowding in the building. Curbside only services include: prescription pick up, pet drop off for exams, surgery, or grooming, pedicures, suture removal, and appointments with a licensed vet tech.
We look forward to welcoming you back into our clinic! Please pardon our dust in the lobby area as we finish re-painting.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during the last 14 months. We have striven to keep our clients and staff safe while continuing to provide care for your pets and livestock.
Blue Ridge Animal Clinic
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, therefore occasional appointment delay may occur. If we have worked you into the schedule, previously scheduled appointments will be seen first.
For your convenience, Day Admission (drop off) is available by appointment with an additional fee. Day Admission means you schedule to bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for the day. Usually, we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments. At admission, we ask that you allow time for our staff to check your pet in and learn more about what problems your pet may be having currently. After the exam, we will go over the findings either by phone or at the discharge of your pet.
For the safety of our patients, we require that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers upon arrival to the clinic.
Blue Ridge Animal Clinic requires full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, American Express, John Deere Financial, cash, and personal checks.
